OUR THERAPY SERVICES

Compassionate and Personalized Care: For Conditions That Are Complex, Misunderstood, Or Overlapping

Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)

FND affects how the brain and body send and receive signals. It can cause symptoms such as weakness, pain, tremor, changes in movement, speech or sensation, or even functional seizures. These symptoms are real and disabling, and are explained by changes in brain pathways and communication rather than structural damage. Therapy focuses on retraining movement, attention, and regulation to restore function, confidence, and participation in daily life.

Concussion

A concussion is a mild brain injury that can affect thinking, balance, energy, and emotion. While most people recover within weeks, some experience lingering symptoms such as dizziness, fatigue, or difficulty concentrating. Therapy supports gradual return to activity, sensory and balance retraining, and nervous system regulation.

Dizziness

Dizziness and balance issues can stem from inner ear, neurological, or sensory causes. Therapy helps identify contributing factors and uses targeted exercises, gradual movement exposure, and regulation techniques to improve stability and confidence in daily life.

Stroke

A stroke occurs when blood flow to part of the brain is interrupted, leading to changes in movement, coordination, or speech. Rehabilitation after stroke helps individuals regain strength, relearn movement patterns, and adapt daily activities to promote independence and quality of life.

Hypermobility

Hypermobility and dysautonomia, including Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), often occur together and can affect blood flow, heart rate, and energy levels. People may experience fatigue, dizziness, pain, or “brain fog.” Therapy aims to improve strength, endurance, and autonomic regulation through individualized exercise, activity planning, and lifestyle strategies.

chronic pain 01.png

Chronic Pain

Chronic pain is pain that persists beyond normal healing time, often influenced by changes in the nervous system. It can affect mood, sleep, and activity levels. Therapy focuses on understanding pain, restoring safe movement, pacing activities, and developing strategies for long-term self-management.

Sexual Health

We provide sexual health support for individuals, couples, and families affected by neurological, physical, cognitive, or mental health conditions. This includes consultation for parents and caregivers managing inappropriate or confusing sexual behaviors in children or youth with developmental disabilities; therapy for individuals and couples experiencing changes in sexual function or intimacy; strategies for people whose symptoms worsen with sexual activity (such as pain, fatigue, dizziness, or functional seizures); and guidance around legal or behavioural concerns related to sexuality in the context of disability. Our aim is to promote safe, healthy, and confident sexual expression for every client.
